ACCESSIBILITY AT HIQFF
We see the work of breaking down barriers as an ongoing learning process and aim to improve the accessibility of our festival so that it can be a place for as many people as possible.
In this programme booklet, you’ll find the current status on existing barriers, our accessible activi- ties, including subtitles and talks interpreted into the German Sign Language, as well as events with free admission.
Things still may change in the run-up to the festival, so here on this page, we provide you with detailed information and keep it up to date.

The cinema is accessible at ground level, although the main entrance has swing doors. The foyer and Cinema 1 are fully accessible; the ticket office and toilets are partially accessible. Cinema 2 is only accessible via a long flight of stairs.
There is an accessible toilet in the nearby Europa Passage (2nd floor, near the public toilets).

The entire cinema is accessible. The entrance, foyer, auditorium and KINOBAR are also accessible by lift. There are two to four wheelchair spaces (depending on the size of the wheelchairs) in the back row of the stalls

The cinema is accessible. The courtyard is paved with cobblestones. The entrance to the courtyard from Bartelsstraße is more accessible than the one from Schanzenstraße.
The foyer, bar area and cinema auditorium are accessible without steps. There are one to three wheelchair spaces (depending on the size of the wheelchairs) in the auditorium.
There is an accessible toilet.
B-Movie

The cinema is not accessible. The foyer, the auditorium and the toilet can only be reached via steps. The courtyard is paved with cobblestones.

The permanent exhibition at the memorial and the project space of klinke is not accessible.
