No Legend, No Story - Queer Shorts for the longest night

Once again this year, HIQFF has put together a selection of queer shorts for the 14th Short Film Day!

You can find details about the individual films in the Short Film Day program

The SHORT FILM DAY is Germany's largest event dedicated to short films. Whether in cinemas or classrooms, cultural centers or living rooms – from December 15 to 21, the diversity of short films will be celebrated.

Tickets are available directly from the Metropolis Cinema.

The protagonists of the program “No Legend, No Story” leave the paths laid out for them at very different stages of their lives in order to courageously forge their own paths.

Length: 86 minutes

In A SUMMER PLACE, frustrated Tina receives a special birthday surprise that steers her life in an unexpected direction. Yael from WAKING UP IN VEGAS, on the other hand, has to come to terms with his domineering brother without jeopardizing his friendship with Aaron.

ANEMONE resists the strict influence of her family and works hard to express her awakening identity. THE SAINT OF DRY CREEK is an example of how parents sometimes know their children better than they know themselves.

And the last film shows how ANGELIQUE from the Bavarian countryside writes her own life story with great courage.
